Ingleford Scaffolding Ltd was contracted by Northumberland Council to provide critical scaffold support for the front elevation of a building on Bridge Street, Blyth. The primary objective was to ensure the structural stability of the building and prevent potential collapse during ongoing construction work. This project showcased our expertise in delivering tailored scaffolding solutions under challenging conditions.
The project posed unique challenges, primarily due to the narrow pathway along Bridge Street. To address this, we developed a bespoke scaffold system that accommodated both the restricted space and the building’s structural needs. Our team redesigned the standard scaffold layout to fit the constrained area while ensuring the highest safety standards.
Co-ordination with local traffic management was essential to maintain public safety and minimize disruption. We worked closely with local authorities to relocate traffic lights and ensure safe access to pedestrians, allowing the works to go ahead.
Despite the complexities involved, our team maintained open communication with Northumberland Council and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. Regular inspections and adjustments to the scaffold ensured the structure remained secure and fit for purpose throughout the project’s duration.
This project highlights Ingleford Scaffolding’s ability to deliver safe, innovative, and efficient access solutions in high-traffic, space-constrained environments. Our meticulous planning, adaptability, and dedication to safety ensured the project remained on schedule while safeguarding both workers and the public.
